Happy Thanksgiving!!!

....And many many thanks to everyone for all the well-wishes :D I just thought I would pop on quickly and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and also let you all know that the wedding went off without any huge problems (gotta have a few small ones or else it wouldn't have been real, lol!) and I am now officially Mrs. Lynn!! Yay!! Also, Rich and I have been to New York and I have my UK visa in hand and ready to use when we return to the UK on Monday. I have to admit....I'm really going to miss things here in the US. Probably a lot more now because I've been back for a visit. But, it'll only be for a while and then we'll be moving back here permanently. So, I'll be back more regularly next week. Also, I'll be able to look for a job when I return to the UK!!!! I'm really really looking forward to that :D I can't wait to get back to doing something with myself, lol!! Anyway, when I get back, I'll be scanning all our wedding photos into an album in our MSN Community. In the meantime, I've scanned in a photo of us for you, so that you can all get a taste of the photos, lol!! Here it is:

I hope you all enjoy that :D By the way, when I scan the photos in, they'll only be available through our MSN Community and it is a members only area. So, if you'd like to join our community, go here. Look forward to posting more on Wednesday next week!! Bye 4 now!

Not much time to write today. Just a quick note that Rich and I are doing great and getting all excited!!! We leave on Thursday, so we're trying to get things all finished here. Rich works today and tomorrow, but he's off on Wednesday to help me finish things up. We're also taking the puppy to the kennel she's boarding at on Wednesday. I don't like leaving her, cos I don't want her to think we're abandoning her, but she has to stay somewhere, so I hope she'll forgive us :) Well, that's all from me for today!! Bye-bye!

(Can anyone please tell me why Blogger refuses to post anything longer than a couple of paragraphs????? Its really frustrating!! So, this is the end to the previous post.)

Here are my Friday Five. I hesitated about doing these, as I don't really feel comfortable talking about politics, but I skipped last week's, so I figured, what the heck? Anyway, here are my answers!

1. Did you vote in your last elections?

Yes, I voted in the 2000 elections. Its the only election I've ever voted in (mainly, cos it was the first one I was old enough to vote in, lol).

2. Do you know who your elected representatives are?

Yup, unless they changed with this week's elections (although I doubt it.....they've been there forever!).

3. Have you ever contacted an elected representative? If so, what was it about?

Yes, when we were planning for Rich to come to the US on a work visa. That kinda fell through, though, as it would have been really hard to manage.

4. Have you ever participated in a demonstration?

Nope.

5. Have you ever volunteered in an election? What was the result?

Nope again. I know this is bad to say, but I'm not really that interested in politics. I just get upset when I think about it, so I try not to most of the time.

Okay, that's it!! Remember, these are just my opinions, they aren't meant to offend anyone! That's all folks!!

Got 40 of the 50 Order of Services we need printed yesterday, then ran out of ink. So, I'll pick up another ink cartridge when I meet Rich for lunch. I'm early morning blogging today, as I need to finish printing the Order of Services and make candy-coated almonds this afternoon for the bombonierres. They are cute little favors for our wedding that have 5 different colored almonds in them. The 5 colors are: blue for hope, yellow for joy, green for harmony, pink for love, and white for peace. Rich and I liked the idea of them, but thought it would have more meaning if I made them myself. So I'm making the almonds this afternoon and then will put them all together either tonight or tomorrow. I got some sheer fabric to put them in and some ribbon to tie around the fabric to hold them closed. We may actually wind up getting some small fabric roses to complete them as well :)

Last night, Rich and I gathered together all the items we'll need for the Visa application. We wanted to see what else we needed to have it all. We also filled out the two forms needed for the application. It seems that all we need to have it completed is some bank statements for Rich, our marriage certificate (which we won't get until the day, lol), my CV (to prove I'm employable), and a couple of other small things I can't recall. Anyway, the point is, all we need from this country is the bank statements. So we think we're doing pretty good!! Rich's Dad has agreed to be a co-sponsor in case we need another one. So it all looks pretty good :)

Sorry I haven't been around much this week!! I'm trying to get things all finalized. I'm happy to report that everything seems to be falling into place :D Yay!!! There are a few things that need to come together, but they are small things, so that's okay. Thanks everyone for all the well wishes :) And thank you Jennie for the cupcake adoption :D It is soooooo cute and will definitely be going on our wedding page!!

Its been a good week. I'm working on our Order of Service today. I need to finish making the graphics to go on the front cover, as they got lost when our computer crashed. So I'll be busy with that today. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!! If I have time, I'll post some more later today!!

I'm really getting excited now!!! Its only 19 days until our wedding and I'll be in GA next week!!!!!! I'm really looking forward to being home for a little while. This is going to be a tremendously busy week, cos I'm trying to get everything together and organized. I may not be online as much for a couple of reasons. One...the wedding, obviously. I'm trying to get things finished for it and then we'll be flying and actually having the wedding and going to get my visa and.......well, you get the point. Two....Rich and I had a long talk this weekend and he's been feeling a bit neglected lately. Since he is my number 1 priority, we've decided that I'm going to spend less time online and more time with him.

Yesterday, we took Isabelle and went to Thorne's Park. It is HUGE!!! We had a picnic lunch and just enjoyed being out. It was such a pretty day!! We walked to the top of the hill (mountain!) in the park and had a look at the gorgeous view of Wakefield (where we live). It was a really good outing for all of us. Then, last night, we went to Rich's Dad's and Step-Mum's house for a meal. We had a nice time with them. They had gotten Rich and I a card for our wedding and they had gotten me a card and gift for my birthday :) I thought that was really really nice of them.

Today I've been busily phoning the caterer for our reception and setting down the menu. Also, been trying to reach the pastor performing the ceremony, but with no luck. Hopefully, I'll be able to reach him later today. Not much else going on.

There's some trivia for you trivia buffs who've missed it the last week!! Hope you enjoy it :D I'm trying to catch up on some email and other things, so I probably won't post much today, but I will definitely catch up on things. Also, I've been very very sick the last couple of days. I have a horrible stomachache and nothing seems to help it. Christina, I think I caught your food poisoning!!! UGH!!! Just kidding, but it certainly feels like it. And you're right, we simply must get together sometime :) It may have to be when I get back from the US though, as the next couple of weeks are packed!! Only 13 days until we fly to the US and only 22 days until our wedding!!!!! I'm really starting to get nervous, lol!! Oh, well.....

Hi Hi Hi!!! Well, I'm back online now!! (Thanks to my mom for letting everyone know what was wrong :D) My computer decided it had finally had enough and the hard drive died on it!! But now its all fixed with a new hard drive and I'm back :D :D :D I'm working on a new layout for my blog.....I want to do something for Thanksgiving :) I like the look of my blog, but I'm just ready for a change now, lol!! I do have an award I need to get up and some other things, but I'll do that in a bit. Also, I'll be back later with some trivia for today!!! Take care!!
